No End in Sight Part 3

Sudan: African Union Must Accept Deal
By MOHAMED OSMAN
Associated Press Writer

"Sudan gave African Union troops a one-week ultimatum Monday to accept a deal blocking a proposed U.N. peacekeeping force in Darfur or else leave the war-torn region, a step that would likely worsen the world's worst humanitarian disaster."

The saga continues in Sudan, but it seems like the UN may actually pull this one off. IF the US, Uk and The UN can get this done there will be one less corner of the world, that isn't bleeding. Sweden and Norway have already committed troops to the UN peacekeeper force. Perhaps the French can send another 50 sailors . The AU's 7000 troop peacekeeping force will be obsorbed by the UN force. It remains to be seen who else will contribute.

However I will temper this by saying that if it weren't for the aforementioned efforts of both the US and UK, the bloodletting would no doubt have continued.
